Britain’s Last Tobacco Plant Closes

Bugler Tobacco

Once the clock strikes at 8:15pm on the 24th of October, 2017 history will be made in Britain. You see this signifies the end of Britain being one of the world’s first biggest tobacco manufacturers. The final product to come off the production line was a pouch of fine-cut best tobacco used for rolling your own cigarettes. At the Ballymena plant all of the machinery was turned off and will be redeveloped for future use by the Wrights Group a Northern Irish bus maker.

The factory closure comes one month after the closure of the tobacco factory in England, the Imperial Brands plant in Nottingham.
