The Oliva Serie V Toro is smothered in a speckled milk chocolate brown wrapper that despite a lack of oil is rather smooth to the touch. The aroma from the wrapper has a hint of dark chocolate and barnyard, while the draw conjures up notes of creamy oak, coffee grounds, dark cocoa nibs, nutmeg and black pepper.

There is an obvious maple syrup sweetness along with black pepper on the retro hale that seems to be getting stronger as the first third continues. The burn is slightly wavy, although not worthy of correcting and the draw has a wonderful amount of resistance after a simple straight cut. Strength-wise, the Oliva Serie V Toro ends the first third below the medium mark, although it continues to increase.

In the second third of the Oliva Serie V Toro cigar different flavors start to showcase reminding one of cloves, cinnamon, espresso beans, leather and oats.

In the final third the creamy note is still there and remains until the end of the cigar. The humidification beads taste eases up a little as you go along, but is strong enough to endure. The burn and draw are both excellent where the overall strength is barely higher than medium and with no bitterness.
