Mexico is best known for its tequila and mezcal production; however, they also produce high-quality tobacco. Te Amo cigars are an excellent example of the tobacco tradition in this country.
The brand is known as the market leader in Mexico and one of the best-selling in the world. You can get their products in 29 countries.
A little bit of history
Spaniard Alberto Turrent arrived in Mexico in 1880 and founded a tobacco company in the San Andres Valley (Veracruz). The climate and soil of this place were perfect for the cultivation of this plant.
After several decades of tobacco production, this company created the Te Amo brand in 1963. With these premium cigars, they gained prestige and fame worldwide.
Seeds
This company uses foreign seeds such as Sumatra, Habano 2000, and Connecticut. However, the cultivation of the native tobacco called Negro San Andrés is still predominant. Te Amo cigars include this leaf as their principal component.
100% handmade artisanal production
The master cigar makers carefully select the best leaves. Then, they begin the rolling process with the technique and art learned from their ancestors.
Finally, they store the cigars in handcrafted cedar boxes. But don’t worry about deforestation; these trees come from sustainable fields
