Santa Clara cigars have formally announced the return of the collaboration of Romeo y Julieta that is crafted by A.J. Fernandez.
This is the second time Tabacalera USA, owners of the Romeo y Julieta brand in the U.S. and master blender A.J. Fernandez has teamed up. The cigar was initially scheduled for a limited launch, but is now heading toward a wider distribution.
A.J. Fernandez has crafted the new Romeo y Julieta cigar as a maduro wrapped offering. It features a Habana 2000 Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. This cigar comes packaged at 20 per box with prices ranging from $7.50 to $9.00 SRP. It comes in 5 sizes Belicoso (6 x 52), Churchill (7 x 50), Gordo (6 x 60), Robusto (5 x 52) and Toro( 6 x 52).
“We are extremely proud to deliver to the market this collaborative project between two exciting entities. The blend they put together really makes a statement for both companies and I can’t wait to hear the customers reaction”, said a Santa Clara spokesperson in a press release.
The cigar joins the Montecristo Crafted by A.J. Fernandez, a cigar that was launched late last year.
While Atladis USA is known as the primary distribution arm under Tabacalera USA, Santa Clara cigars is a separate distribution company. It has primarily handled distribution for Tabacalera USA’s Casa de Montecristo and JR Cigar stores. In addition, its portfolio has been available to retailers nationwide.
